Early Years (Reception) Age 4 - 5 years

In the Early Years, pupils are assessed on entry and teachers plan for each individual’s needs. This is a rich and varied curriculum incorporating the Early Years Foundation Stage targets. The learning environment is warm and inviting, friendly and fun.

Specialist teachers teach Music, French and Physical Education. This is taught using a local sports hall and in the summer term, using the local parks. Outdoor play, using a variety of equipment, is used to support learning daily. The reception class also has a specialist teacher to help with ICT. The students achieve well in their targets.
