French -Write an autobiography that will cover the topics we have studied this year.
Talk about yourself and family
Say where you live and what it is like.
Mention whether you have pets and why you like them
Describe yourself physically and as an extension activity describe someone in your family
Remember simple opinions and descriptions for L3 and backed up opinions for L4 (connectives mais, aussi, parce que)
ART - Draw something to do with Animals
Science - Research task: Fossils
Music - Find out as much as you can about cycles in music- it can be music from all around the world, Africa for example. Also prepare for assessments on Music Theory for next half term.

English - Write a book review on one of the books you have read in your literacy lessons. Your reviews should be one A4 side in length and must contain information about characters and key plot events – but don’t give too much away!

Spanish -8.1/8.2 Write a report on a trip to a restaurant with your favourite celebrity.
Say where you went, who with, what you ate and drank and give an opinion. Mention the food you like to eat and say what you will be eating next time you go out (L6)
ART - Find out about Salvador Dali
Science - Research task: Biofuels
Music - Write a summary about Rock and Roll- where it came from and how you think it influenced music today. Choose a Rock and Roll star from the 1950’ s and write his/her biography- best ones will be put on display- and credits awarded!
Geography - Mystery Task – Migration from the South to North of Italy (given in class)

ICT- Students are expected to complete 8.3 worksheets on 8.3 pupil resource 6 identifying key words and 8.3 pupil resource 8 finding information on the internet.
Year 8 B and E : Students are expected to write a role play about their company being interviewed on a Live TV show. The Managing director must answer the following questions in the role play
□ How well do you think your company will perform over the next 6 months?
□ Why should I invest in your company?
□ How well does your team perform together?
□ What are the strong points in your team?
□ Why did you choose this design for your logo?
□ How successful do you think your logo will be in the market place?

Spanish - 9.1 /9.2 Design a poster for your ideal school rules. Write a piece about what your actual school rules are and what you think about them OR
Design your ideal school uniform. Write about what you have to wear to school and what you think about it.
ART - Research aspects of living in the city by making a drawing or taking photos
Science - Complete revision sheets given in class.
Music - Write a detailed diary of your experience of ‘Into the Deep End’ – what went well, what the challenges were and so on. How did it differ from the more guided band task in year 8, what do you prefer and what do you like less about working more independently in your bands? Finally how did you feel about performing your piece to the class?

Revise for Population test
English - Conduct your research and collect data to be used in your spoken language controlled assessment. Remember that this research must be relevant to your assessment question!

Business - Students are expected to complete the following exam paper on Applied Business ( 5308 01 que 20080116) excluding questions involving break even, cash flow and ratios.
